Filament Diameter: 1.75mm +/- 0.05mm
Storage: All Desktop Metal materials come in re-sealable Mylar bags with desiccant. These materials have indefinite shelf life at ambient temperature storage.
Drying: Desktop Metal recommends pre-drying the filament at 75oC for at least 8 hours prior to printing. During printing, the filament can be stored in the filament dryer that comes with the Fiber™ system.
PEEK is a semi-crystalline thermoplastic polymer that is part of the polyaryletherketone (PAEK) family, and used in high performance engineering applications. Desktop Metal’s PEEK + CF filament combines PEEK with 20%wt high-modulus chopped carbon fiber that when printed on the Fiber™ system, yields exceptional dimensional stability, and high stiffness and strength at continuous use temperatures above 200oC.
